Every released command, flag, and independent permission.

These commands describe Aperture 0.4.6. aperture below is the executable name. When it is not installed globally, place the command after this version-pinned package prefix:

There is no serve, automatic harness-connection, NPU inference, or distributed-run command in this release. The existing terminal chat is the working user interface.

Use model and execution flags during setup. Resumed execution refuses flags that would change model, context, parallelism, backend, device, GPU layers, or thread count. Create a new setup instead. Resource changes after setup still affect whether the saved request can run.

Independent permissions

Omitting a flag leaves its operation subject to interactive approval. Experiment approval remains separate. A repository with several representations still requires a selection; use an exact artifact for deterministic automation. Never add all permissions merely to dismiss an unexplained error.
A saved remote GGUF can bind to its exact complete Aperture-managed cache before model-host or transfer approval. The cache key retains source, revision, representation, component names, sizes, and expected hashes. Every selected component is still completely hashed before final native fit and load. Missing, changed, symbolic, differently identified, or unsupported cache entries do not receive this shortcut. Safetensors remain on the ordinary verified acquisition path.
The support command accepts only --allow-scan, --home, and --out. It rejects model, context, backend, network, download, installation, execution, and prompt flags rather than implying that those operations contribute to the receipt.

Inspect a local model without inference

APERTURE_HOME changes the managed storage root; --home takes precedence. HF_TOKEN supplies existing Hugging Face authorization. APERTURE_CUDA_LIBRARY_DIR names one explicitly trusted absolute local CUDA library directory. Installed CUDA toolkit variables and Ollama locations can also contribute library candidates. Discovery affects child processes only, not your system PATH.
Support receipt boundary
The aperture-support/1 receipt omits host and user names, local paths and mount labels, stable device and partition identifiers, GPU UUIDs, drive product names and serials, network adapter names and addresses, model locations, prompts, generated text, credentials, and environment variables. Dynamic provider failures are reduced to bounded error classes, and identifier-shaped hardware labels are withheld.
The receipt remains fingerprintable through its retained hardware models, exact capacities, driver versions, and timestamp. It is intended to reduce unnecessary disclosure in a reviewed support report, not to provide anonymity.
Exit behavior
Successful help, version, completed operations, and cancellation can exit with code 0. Errors, unsupported requested configurations, and incomplete execution return code 2. A zero exit alone is not a quality benchmark; inspect the reported operation and run result.
